The French Riding Pony Association is in charge of :

Updating the breed Stud-Book :
Every year, a Stud-Book of more than 350 pages is published.
It includes directories of breeders, stallions, broodmares and progeny.

Publishing the rules of the French Riding Pony Stud-Book.
Publishing a bi-monthly newsletter. Download the news-letter
Registering newly approved ponies in the Stud Book,
as well as pony-sized saddle horses, according to article 7 of the Stud-Book.
Organising the stallions gradings at the beginning of spring and autumn each year :
Eligible stallions for the French Riding Pony Stud-Book are French Riding Pony stallions,
or stallions of other pony breeds already approved in their own breed Stud-Book :
Arabs, Connemara, Dartmoor, Landais, New-Forest, Pottok, and Welsh Ponies,
according to articles n° 10 and 11 of the French Riding Pony Stud Book.
Publishing the biennial Directory of the licensed French Riding Pony stallions.
Publishing a yearly leaflet about the French Riding Pony.
Publishing a list of French Riding Ponies for sale :
Broodmares, young livestock, and ridden ponies.
This list is also widely distributed at the many Horse Shows in which the ANPFS exhibits,
and it is also sent through the post to the members, three times a year.

Selecting the 2 and 3 year old French Riding Pony fillies
and colts through a National Championship held yearly in the Federal riding facilities
of LAMOTTE BEUVRON (2 hours south of Paris).
Setting up a breeding programme in co-ordination with the National Studs.
The Paris Agricultural Show : 3 - 11 March 2007.
The SOLOGN' PONY SHOW is held every year around August 20th in LAMOTTE-BEUVRON,
site of outstanding facilities in the Federal Park.

The National French Riding Pony Breed Championship takes place during the Sologn’Pony Show.

This year, around a thousand ponies of all breeds and ages took part in the Sologn’Pony Show.

The main breeding classes for the National French Riding Pony Championship are :

- 2 and 3 year old fillies.
- 2 and 3 year old males.
- Broodmares with a foal at foot.

The Sologn’Pony Show also includes :

- The New Forest Pony, the Welsh Pony and Cob, and the French native pony of the Landes ( south-west of France).
- The National Young Show Jumping Ponies Finals (4, 5 and 6 years old).
- The National 3 year old ridden ponies Championship.
- National Show Jumping for Young Ponies not taking part in the Official National Finals.
- Show Jumping for stallions of 7 years old and over
- Grand Prix Ponam et Critérium de France 2007.
The SHF Dressage Week in SAUMUR : 23-24 Sept 2006.
The main National Studs Regional Breeding Shows.
The biggest Horse events in the cities of MONTPELLIER, LYON, AVIGNON, DIJON, NANCY...
